Looking for Information about Medicare or Medicaid?

Medicare and Medicaid are two U.S. government programs that help people get health insurance. Medicare generally covers people who are 65 or older, younger people with certain disabilities, or those with serious diseases like end-stage kidney failure.

Medicare is separated into parts:

  • Part A covers hospital costs
  • Part B covers medical visits and outpatient care
  • Part D covers prescription drugs

Medicaid is for people with limited income or resources, and each state runs its own program under federal rules. It covers things like hospital care, doctor visits, maternity care, and often services Medicare doesn’t cover.

CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) runs both Medicare and helps set rules for Medicaid. They also share info on eligibility, payments, and application processes.
